A BILL to amend and reenact article 3, chapter 64 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to authorizing the Office of Miners’ Health, Safety and Training to promulgate a legislative rule relating to the safety of those employed in and around quarries in West Virginia.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

            That article 3, chapter 64 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:

ARTICLE 3. AUTHORIZATION FOR DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION TO PROMULGATE LEGISLATIVE RULES.

§64-3-1. Office of Miners’ Health, Safety and Training.

            The legislative rule filed in the State Register on July 29, 2014, authorized under the authority of section three, article four, chapter twenty-two-a of this code, modified by the Office of Miners’ Health, Safety and Training to meet the objections of the Legislative Rule-making Review Committee and refiled in the State Register on September 16, 2014, relating to the Office of Miners’ Health, Safety and Training (rules governing the safety of those employed in and around quarries in West Virginia, 56 CSR 20), is authorized.


            NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the Office of Miners’ Health, Safety and Training to promulgate a legislative rule relating to Rules Governing the Safety of Those Employed in and around Quarries in West Virginia.
